There are so many recipes floating around the internet for homemade playdough, ranging in variety from edible to almost store bought, but I wanted to share the one of the recipes that I use on a regular basis.
It is completely non toxic, so it’s especially great for toddlers or children who still might be inclined to put their creations in their mouths. It also is super easy and takes hardly any time at all. I mixed up five colors in less than thirty minutes.
All you need are a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry:
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 teaspoons white vinegar
food coloring
(I also added some glitter to the dough)
Mix all the ingredients together in a saucepan and stir constantly over medium heat until…

it all clumps together like so:
Remove from heat and knead for just a few minutes to incorporate it all together nicely.
Rinse and repeat as many times as you want with different colors!
Store in an airtight container and it will last for months! 🙂
There you have it. Easy, cheap, and loads of fun!
